New York Fashion Week for Fall of 2015

Hello friends,

I am proud to announce that Stilettos 'N Spice is moving from Blogger to  Stilettos 'n Spice.com. The website is almost complete, just a few more updates on archived blog posts are needed. I will continue to post on Blogger and the .com site for the next week, helping everyone migrate over to the new official website and get signed up. I want to deeply thank all of you for your support and kind words. I wouldn't be here without all of you and I appreciate everyone who has helped me grow large enough for this new progression and journey.

For now, please Click Here for the current post on NYFW.

Thank you again,

Amelia.

Fresh Spring Manicure Ideas

This is a great article I wanted to share from Harpers Bazaar.

My friends and family can tell you that my nails are my favorite accessory. You can relax in a salon and get a fresh set of shellac, or experiment at home with a new bottle of polish and some jewel accessories from a beauty supply store like Sally's.

Tip: Use topcoat to stick gems onto nails, not nail glue. It holds just as strong, and is easier to remove with less chance of damage.

I got this portable kit from Amazon for a great deal. It comes with all the tools you'll need in a wallet compartment, they're all stainless steel and great quality.

Use Sharpies to draw lines, patterns and shapes onto your fresh coat of polish. Let dry thoroughly and finish off with topcoat, I recommend Seche Vite.

Aerie Real Campaign

Aerie Real Campaign Link

It's refreshing to see a company help boost confidence in women and show all of us that imperfections are beautiful and real. I went shopping at Aerie yesterday for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! The ladies working were so friendly and helpful. They had a great selection and the undies I bought are adorable! Go check it out for yourself. Support true beauty.

Pantone Color of the Year 2014~ Radiant Orchid

Celebrate the Pantone Color of the. Year 2014!

Orchids are one of my favorite flowers. They're tropical, exotic and so delicate and beautiful. The very first orchid I ever owned was in this same beautiful shade of soft violet, so I was excited to see Pantone issue this shade as the color of the year for 2014. I have found some images below giving examples of fun ways to incorporate this shade into your wardrobe, home decor and lifestyle.

I love the idea of this sassy pop of color on my lips. It's a great shade to add some elegance and a bold statement. It also makes my blue-green eyes pop.

How stunning is this bouquet? The bright contrast against the white gown is absolutely gorgeous!

I think accessory items are a great option to incorporate such a bold color in your home. I love the idea of little pops here and there to get a feel of the color and create a soothing mood. The example below is fun, but I think just a few pieces would be easier to handle over time, rather than so much that it becomes overwhelming.

I am addicted to nail polish. Your nails are the easiest way to add a statement and to "polish" off your look. Well manicured nails scream sophistication, style and portray a woman as looking put together and organized. Your hands are used as a form of communication and expression. You can say so much about yourself and personality with your manicure.
The idea of combining a delicate fabric with a bold shade and the edgy look of black leather is so chic. Another great option would be a bright top, such as a silk blouse and leather pants. Top it off with nude heels or choose a little flirt and go with leopard.

Incorporate this shade with subtle accessories like buttons or go bold with an organza gown in bright, radiant orchid.
